A four-blade multi-rip saw for converting rough sawn boards into dimensioned strips in one pass. Where a single-blade rip saw makes one cut per pass, this makes four, and the chain feed pulls the board through under top pressure rollers so the strips come out parallel rather than following any bow in the original board.
Blade spacing is set on the arbor with spacer collars, so a shop running consistent strip widths for door stiles, drawer sides or edge-glued panel stock can set once and rip for a week.
