WM BrushTech 300 Brush Sander

A brush sander for contoured and profiled work where an abrasive belt would flatten the detail. Rotating abrasive-filament brushes follow the shape of a raised panel door, a moulded edge or a routed profile, sanding into the recesses rather than across them.

It also does a job no belt sander can: after staining, the raised grain in profiles needs knocking back without cutting through the colour, and a brush head does that evenly across a shaped surface where hand sanding leaves light and dark patches.
