WM LacquerSand 1000 Single and Twin Belt Lacquer Sander
$25,520.00
A wide belt sander configured specifically for denibbing and flatting cured lacquer and paint between coats. Finish sanding is not timber sanding: the platen pressure is far lower, the belt speed is slower, and the drum is rubber-faced rather than steel, because the aim is to shear off nibs and orange peel without cutting through to the substrate.
Running twin belts lets a shop take a sealer coat flat in one pass at 240 grit and follow immediately at 320 or 400, which is how a hand-rubbed finish gets produced on a production schedule.
